Position: Application Security Engineer
Location: Gurgaon, Haryana, India
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-05-11
- Deliver application scanning services using an automated assessment toolkit
- Deliver vulnerability scanning services using an automated assessment toolkit
- Deliver source code analysis projects using automated assessment toolkits
- Perform simple manual verification of important results given by automated
security assessment tools
- Deliver detailed reporting on findings of assessments
- Assist other bank teams (e.g. Risk Assessment) in understanding results from
security assessments, in assessing the business risk associated with these
issues, and with understanding potential remediation techniques
- Deliver a retesting service for previously discovered issues to ensure
successful remediation
- Assist with the quality assurance of peer deliverables
JOB REQUIREMENTS

- University Degree (IT degree preferred)
- A minimum of 2 years experience in software development (Java and .NET an
advantage)
- A minimum of 2 years experience in technical security assessment.
Experience in a financial institution or a large corporation will be an asset
- Excellent technical knowledge of numerous technologies including operating
systems, application servers and databases
- Experience in source code security analysis is a benefit
- Previous vulnerability research and disclosures will be a benefit
- Fluent English (written and spoken) a must. Other languages an advantage
- Very good knowledge of technologies and the methodology of IT banking
systems’ security
- Team working skills
- Creativity, precision, problem solving skills, customer focus, service
delivery oriented
