--------------------------------------------------- SECURITYFOCUS JOBS - NEW OPPORTUNITY --------------------------------------------------- JOB DESCRIPTION --------------------------------------------------- Position: Sr. Security Analyst Location: Bethesda, Maryland, United States Type: Permanent F/T Closing Date: 2007-05-06 Provide services under the IT Security and Networking Division, consulting with numerous federal staff, including security officers and system administrators to assist in the creation of full C&A packets. Extensive knowledge and hands on experience assessing, writing, and formalizing all C&A documents including the SSP, RA, CP, POA&M, PIA, and generation of system diagrams. Technical expertise including interpretation and application of federal regulations and NIST Special Publications such as NIST SP 800-53, FIPS 199, NIST SP 800-60, FIPS 140-02, FISMA. Defining the systems' C, I, and A as well as data-types stored/processed is a must. Ability to evaluate IT systems and complete ST&E (Certification Testing.) Review and research raw data scans (ISS and NESSUS reports) to generate Vulnerability Scan Analyses. Conduct audit of completed C&A packets to ensure thoroughness, consistency, and compliance. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- At least 3 year working in the field of IT security within a federal agency, preference for someone with two years C&A-specific experience. Work as a system administrator a plus. Must have excellent writing and interview skills. Extensive work in evaluating/ auditing IT systems, use of and compliance with federal regulations and ability to create C&A packets. Strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor. Ability to work independently, multi-task, organized, ability to meet deadlines in timely manner. CISSP, CISA, SANS, CAP or other security certification a plus.
