Position: Quality Assurance
Location: Bay Area, California, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

Networking Automation Engineer
Works in the test automation group in designing, implementing and executing
test automation under the existing automation framework. Adds additional
automation tools as needed to enable and enhance network testing.
• Design and implement L2/L3 tools/APIs to enable automation at these
layers.
• Work with development, QA, and Automation engineers to research, design,
and develop complex test automation systems.
• Integrate individual test units into overall test suites.
• Provide design documentation for the test automation projects.
• Participate in the technical review of test automation project
deliverables.
• Participate in product feature design discussions that require test
automation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills
• Strong Perl development skills required, OO Perl desired.
• In-depth L2/L3 networking knowledge
• Knowledge of other protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, FTP, ICAP,
streaming protocols, instant messaging protocols, authentication protocols is a
plus.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and technical troubleshooting
skills
• Strong team-oriented, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple projects
concurrently.
• Must be highly motivated, self-driven, and have the ability to work
efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Strong research and documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills essential
Required Experience
• Must have at least 5 years of experience in test automation in the
network product space.
• BS in CS or equivalent
