Position: Penetration Engineer

Regular penetration testing is essential for all organisations to ensure their
network security. The specialist testing that offers ensures that our
clients’ networks and applications are as secure as possible from the
threats posed by unauthorised intruders and malicious hackers.
are experts in the provision of penetration testing, and as part of our
ongoing expansion programme we are seeking Penetration Testers to join our
growing testing team.
Job Profile
The role involves a combination of remote testing and on site client visits,
producing a structured programme of security testing. Using the information
gathered, a management report is then produced, containing recommendations for
improved security measures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
§ The ability to use a variety of network security testing tools and
exploits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective action
§ Proven ability to explain the results of a penetration test to a
non-technical client
§ Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
§ Report-writing skills
§ Presentation skills
§ Extensive knowledge of IP networking protocols
§ A thorough understanding of current and recent security vulnerabilities
and attack methodologies
§ A willingness to travel
Experience required
§ A minimum of 2 years full-time penetration testing experience
§ Manual penetration testing and an in-depth understanding of IP
networking in a security context
§ Experience of security testing of Web-based applications is an advantage
§ Current UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)
