The Role
The Company:
A dedicated network security solutions company based in Leeds, dealing with
clients throughout the UK.
Job Profile
The role involves a combination of remote infrastructure / application testing
from the company’s office in Leeds and on site network penetration testing
across the UK.
Key competencies
Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
The ability to use a variety of network security testing tools and exploits to
identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective action
The ability to exploit vulnerabilities across a variety of applications and
platforms.
A strong working knowledge of all popular operating systems including; UNIX
variants and the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems.
A through practical understanding of Web application vulnerabilities
Proven ability to explain the results of a penetration test to a non-technical
client
Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
Report-writing skills
Presentation skills
A thorough understanding of current and recent security vulnerabilities and
attack methodologies
A willingness to travel
Experience required
A minimum of 2 years full-time penetration testing experience
Manual penetration testing and an in-depth understanding of IP networking in a
security context
Experience of security testing of Web-based applications is a key advantage
Current UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)
Additional Information
A practical demonstration in our lab environment may be required
