Position:       Instructor
Location:       Irving, Texas, United States
Type:           Permanent F/T

Closing Date:   2007-05-11

Travel to customer sites throughout the Americas providing technical training 
for Check Points product suite. The successful person for this job will have a 
passion for Check Points technology, a focus on servicing the customer, and the 
ability to travel 50%-75%. Company will also provide internal training as 
needed. Knowledge of the following platforms and protocols is essential for 
success: Sun Solaris, Linux, Windows, TCP/IP and VPN technologies Preferred 
knowledge: Free BSD, H.323, VoIP, MGCP and routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, 
BGP Programming experience is mandatory; languages/exposure must include the 
following: C/C++ and UNIX shell scripts (Korn, Bourne, and C Shell). Experience 
with TCP/IP to the packet level, network experience with Windows, UNIX and 
LINUX based Operating Systems, and knowledge of DNS, DHCP is required for 
success in this position. Also, communication skills are important for 
interfacing with clients and working in a close-knit team environment 
 as well as organizational ability for multi-tasking. 


JOB REQUIREMENTS

3-5+ years of relevant TCP/IP networking and Internet Security technology 
experience. Prior experience leading technical classroom training and excellent 
presentation skills. Experience with Check Point products is preferred. A 
strong Solaris, Linux and Windows system-level knowledge. Strong knowledge of C 
or C++ and Perl. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication 
skills. Ability to learn/evaluate new products/technologies in a fast paced 
environment. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a technical 
team-oriented environment. Ability to demonstrate customer empathy, good 
customer diplomacy skills and problem ownership. Ability to manage multiple 
tasks and priorities including good time management skills. Commitment to do 
whatever it takes to get the job done. Travel to customer sites in the US is 
required as needed.
