Position: Chief Security Strategist
Location: Boston area, Massachusetts, United States

Position Location: Boston, MA area
Position Type: Full-time Employee, telecommuting position, most of the
time spent at client sites
General Responsibilities:
As Cigital engages with clients in the application of our software or process
improvement methodologies, the Technical Manager is responsible for managing
and providing technical leadership in one or more customer teams. The Technical
Manager is an experienced consultant with very strong technical skills. He/She
is an advocate in Software Quality, Software Process Improvement and Software
Security. The Technical Manager is a subject matter expert in one or more
domains and provides thought leadership within Cigital. The Technical Manager
is moving the practice forward in terms of knowledge and focused delivery of
work. The Technical Manager is also expected to provide technical sales
support.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in software design and development
• Consulting
– Superior client interface and consulting skills
– Superior negotiating skills
– Ability to undertake and complete tasks independently
– Ability to meet schedules and delivery timelines
– Ability to create presentations, proposals and SOWs
• Business Development
– Demonstrated ability to sell additional and follow-on work
– Ability to provide pre-sales/post-sales technical support
– Overall revenue responsibility for $1 – 1.5 million
• Project Management
– Ability to give direction as project lead and execute tasks consistently
– Ability to collaborate with project team members
• Project Leadership
– Ability to mentor teams of consultants
– Ability to run teams of 5-10 people and have demonstrated ability to
keep a team of that size engaged
– Ability to provide technical leadership as a SME in one or more domains
– Ability to lead and execute projects to successful completion
• Thought Leadership
– Publication record (e.g., book, white papers, etc.)
– Domain specialty
• Marketing Development
– Participation in leading industry associations and other organizations
– Broad national or deep local exposure
• Communication
– Written communication skills: formal documentation, Statements of Work,
proposals, white papers, case studies
– Verbal communication skills: verbal articulation, clarity of speech and
listening ability

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:
• BS in CS, Engineering or equivalent. MS preferred
• 7+ years SDLC experience
• C/C++, Java, multiple OS and RDBMS
• 3+ yrs. consulting experience
