This is a full-time position. Salary is commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will have 4+ years of network security experience and 2+ years of security auditing and penetration testing experience. This position involves performing audit, assessment, and penetration testing services for commercial and government clients. The successful candidate will be both self-disciplined to work on individual tasks and to work well in a team environment. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- The ideal candidate will have security experience in most of the following areas: - Prior experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration methods required - Intimate knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and networking architectures - Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems and security - Programming language experience in C/C++, Java, Visual Basic, Perl, Python - Knowledge of database, applications, and web server design and implementation - Experience with commercial and freeware assessment tools such as ISS Internet Scanner, Nessus, WebInspect, AppDetective, Metasploit, Kismet, Airmagnet, and hacker tools on both Windows and Linux platforms required - Knowledge of open security testing standards and projects such as OWASP and OSSTMM - Experience with wireless LAN security (including 802.11 standards) - Experience with firewall, VPN and intrusion detection systems Familiarity with the certification and accreditation (C&A) security evaluations process for government agencies, such as DITSCAP, NIACAP, and FISMA standards is desired but not required. This position requires research, preparation, and participation in presentations and briefings, as well as travel to client locations nationwide. Expected travel requirement is 25-30%. A degree in Computer Science is preferred, but is not required. Desired certifications include: CISSP, CISA, or SANS GIAC. Understanding of IT security standards such as ISO 17799, COBIT, and ITIL.
