Position: Sr. Security Analyst
Location: Lanham, Maryland, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-05-04
The Security Analyst will be responsible for the daily administration of
intrusion detection and security systems. Duties include:
-Managing, configuring, and tuning network Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS/IPS)
-Managing Security information and security event systems (SIM/SEM)
-Assist with the deployment of new security tools and systems by providing
technical and project management support
-Assist with the deployment of network access control and host based IDS
technology
-Assist with ethical hacking and penetration testing activities
-Assist with security documentation and assessments
-Coordinating with IT, project teams, customers, and vendors
-Providing on-call support for security related issues
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
-Minimum of 2 years IDS/IPS administration experience required
-3 to 7 years directly related security experience.
-Excellent project management skills.
-Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
-Previous experience in a startup or fast paced dynamic environment a plus.
Information security experience in audit, policy compliance, and penetration
testing is also a plus.
-Security certifications such as GCIA or CEH preferred but not required
Salary: $85K-100K
