Position: Security System Administrator
Location: Montvale, New Jersey, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

A. Responsibilities:
• Provide strategy development, standards development, firm wide project
participation, and applied research and development that align with the
firm’s strategy and technology advisory services for various Information
Technology (IT) organizations.
• Network Architecture, Server/OS Architecture, and Desktop Architecture.
• Product, vendor, and/or technology evaluations; this research may be
paper based and/or applied research in a lab environment; findings need to be
formally documented and presented to management and internal customers.
• Establish, document, and communicate technology related standards -
advisory services to the KPMG internal organization which may include working
as a lead technology architect on KPMG internal projects.
• Establish, document, and communicate technology related standards -

• Consulting services to the KPMG internal organization. This capacity
may include working as a lead technology architect on KPMG internal projects.
Sample project deliverables include technology architecture documents,
technology position papers, various technology white papers, last-tier
technical support/assistance that is architectural in nature.•
• Integration solutions. Such solutions may be technology
recommendations or may include hands on assistance in the implementation of the
solution (e.g., third party products into KPMG’s existing infrastructure).
JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Management Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing infrastructure projects.•
• Full project life cycle experience.
• Strong Verbal, Communication, Presentation and Writing Skills
• Experience with Strategy and White Paper development
• Ability to multitask and prioritize several concurrent initiatives
• Technical Qualifications:
• Minimum of 8 years experience in an IT environment with at least 6
years experience working with security and infrastructure technologies.
• Hands on experience with the following technologies & protocols: Java,
Java Security APIs, J2EE Web Hosting Architectures, SSL VPN devices, Systems
Integration, Ethernet, Fast/Gig Ethernet, 802.11 a/b/g, basic Switching and
Routing design (e.g., LAN/WAN components and concepts), server & desktop MS
operating systems (NT, 2000, 2003, XP), IIS Server, IP Subnets, Active
Directory, DHCP/DNS/WINS Services, HP product family, security concepts (e.g.,
network component hardening and firewalls), PC storage devices, PC Diagnostic
tools, registry tools and network analyzers (distributed Sniffer, Sniffer Pro,
Ethereal), RAID Knowledge, load balancing hardware and concepts, Web, caching
and content distribution technologies.
