Product Manager (Enterprise Authentication)
Job Description - External:
VeriSign Inc., a NASDAQ 100 high-tech company and leading provider of Internet
trust services is aggressively searching for a team-oriented professional with
a combination of 7-10 years of experience in the information security industry
and/or enterprise product management and marketing.
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for products and product
components that are part of the suite of authentication and encryption
services/solutions offered by VeriSign. Specifically, the Product Manager will
have a mix of Inbound and Outbound Product Management responsibilities that
span three primary areas:
Product Management and Development
' Develop product strategies and roadmap to meet the business unit objectives
' Develop and prioritize product requirements for new products/services as well
as enhancement /change requirements for existing products/services to meet
changing market and competitive needs.
' Lead cross-functional teams consisting of engineers, operations, customer
support, marketing, and stakeholders from different business units to develop,
implement and maintain products
Business Analysis and Planning
' Own the health of your products through continuous profitability analysis
' Help track product line performance by supporting the development of the
sales forecast, reducing operating expenses, and ensuring you are providing
updated and competitive pricing
' Research the market and understand positioning relative to key competitors
' Develop go-to-market plans and business models for new solution offerings
' Evaluate and establish 3rd-party partnerships with complementary vendor
solutions
Sales Support and Product Evangelism
' Create and review content sales/marketing collateral (e.g. customer
presentations, white papers, competitive briefings, product demonstrations,
data sheets, and FAQs)
' Support Sales to position the product suite via product training and joint
customer presentations
' Engage international sales teams through direct contact and in-country visits
' Collaborate in strategic selling to top sales accounts
' Evangelize solution value through seminars, trade shows, and analyst
presentations
In your position as Product Manager, you will report to the Director of
Enterprise Authentication Services and be part of the larger Authentication
Services business unit which also includes Consumer Authentication and Fraud
Detection Services.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience - External:
Requirements:
' Prior experience in product management in a high tech company (3 to 5 years)
or significant experience in the information security industry (7 to 10 years)
' Knowledge of public key infrastructure, digital certificate standards,
practices, and policy statements, CA/RA models and hierarchies, and certificate
integration with endpoint security applications, SSL VPNs, S/MIME, IPSEC VPNs,
and form signing
' Knowledge about existing and emerging standards in the Identity and Access
Management (IAM space)
' Strong presentation and customer-facing skills
' Experience in the Banking/Finance industries and the Public Sector is a plus
