need of an experienced Compliance Officer for our Information Security 
Department.

The Compliance Officer will oversee the 1199SEIU Family of Funds Compliance 
Program, functioning as an objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance 
issues/concerns within the organization. The position reports directly to the 
Chief Information Security Officer who oversees the Risk Management Program for 
the Fund. This program provides the control structure to operationally test and 
implement programs to ensure the Fund’s compliance with the rules and 
regulations of regulatory agencies, company policies and procedures and whether 
behavior in the organization meets the Fund’s standards of conduct.

<b>Responsibilities:</b>
 
&middot;        Under the general direction of the Chief Information Security 
Officer the incumbent is responsible for implementing a risk-based audit plan 
to assess, report on, and make suggestions for improving the Fund&#146;s key 
regulatory, commercial and internal controls. 
&middot;        Develop test plans for all auditable processes with an impact 
on the internal controls over financial reporting and compliance with 
regulatory requirements. 
&middot;        Plan, assign and supervise the daily activity and work of the 
Internal Audit, and Internal Controls Departments. 
&middot;        Manage and perform complex audits of higher risk areas within 
the Fund. Prepare complex audit reports using advanced writing skills and 
communication of results to senior management. 
&middot;        Perform critical project management duties in the planning, 
scheduling, coordinating, reviewing and reporting of the work of the audit 
teams; and providing expertise in auditing and accounting authoritative 
standards as required by GAAS and GAAP. Also, provide expertise in performance 
criteria, audit requirements and information technology. 
&middot;        Audit projects performed by external resources to achieve 
appropriate deadlines are met in a timely manner and all goals and objectives 
are properly achieved. 
&middot;        Develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures 
for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities 
to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. 
&middot;        Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, 
procedures, and Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the 
initiation of investigative procedures. Develops and oversees a system for 
uniform handling of such violations.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

&middot;        Bachelor&#146;s degree required; Master&#146;s desired. 
&middot;        Minimum of eight (8) years relevant work experience in a 
healthcare organization, to include demonstrated leadership. 
&middot;        Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and 
human resource procedures and regulations is a must. 
&middot;        Strong understanding of financial statements, regulatory 
requirements, anti-fraud criteria and controls for healthcare companies 
required. 
&middot;        Must possess a working knowledge of key healthcare and 
financial services compliance regulations and practices 
&middot;        Must have recent experience working in a regulatory 
environment.  
&middot;        Strong communication and management skills required as well as 
project management.
