Our client, a leading provider of Information Security software and solutions, 
is seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer to support sales in the Southeast region, based 
in Texas, preferably Dallas, Austin, Houston or San Antonio.  This position 
requires up to 75% regional travel. 

As a Pre-Sales Engineer you will work closely with the Regional Account Manager 
and Inside Sales Manager to grow and develop both direct to end-user and 
partner opportunities throughout the designated region in the United States. 
The Pre-Sales Engineer will provide pre sales services including system 
engineering, technical product presentations, training, troubleshooting and 
technical account management.




JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:
•    Provide pre and post sales technical support on behalf of both end 
user and partner accounts
•    Conduct product demonstrations and technical overviews in support of 
industry trade shows, webinars, and on site customer opportunities.
•    Conduct customer driven interactive whiteboard discussions, designed 
to capture and understand each customer’s unique security needs and 
concerns. Act as a technical resource on Sales calls on issues such as product 
specifications, features, functionality and integration along with on site 
evaluation and installation support
•    Interface with Marketing and Engineering as a customer advocate for 
features and functionality designed to enhance and strengthen existing and 
future product offerings
•    A minimum of 5 years of successful pre-sales, post sales, technical 
consulting or systems engineering experience in the network and systems 
security industry
•    History of working in high energy, successful, start up environment. 
Demonstrate a drive to succeed, high level of motivation, and able to work 
independently as well as collaboratively with customer technologists and other 
technical personnel within the organization
•    Proven track record of developing and managing technical 
relationships with prospects and customers throughout the sales cycle
•    Strong analytical, written and oral skills with attention to detail 
and follow through are essential. Excellent organizational, customer service, 
communication, and presentation skills
•    Strong working knowledge of operating systems (i.e.: Windows (9x, Me, 
2K XP), UNIX, RedHat Linux) and RDBMS Systems such as Oracle, MYSQL and MS SQL.
•    Ability to work with regular expressions, Shell & XML scripting
•    Experience in Firewall, Intrusion Prevention, VPN, and other security 
focused technologies. Understanding of both networking and application related 
protocol & technologies
•    Experience selling into industries with regulatory compliance related 
to GLBA, HIPPA, PCI DSS and Sarbanes-Oxley
•    CISSP, GIAC CISM certifications preferred.
•    Up to 75 percent regional travel required
