Position: Security Engineer
Location: Seattle, Washington, United States
Type: Contract
Closing Date: 2007-03-18
Seeking talented engineer with intimate understanding of the Windows Kernel to
join new Seattle based startup. Prefer candidates in the Seattle area. Other US
locations considered.
Contract position initially with good opportunities to move to permanent for
the right candidate.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Experience:
• At least 5 years experience in a complex, large scale or agile software
development environment
• Significant demonstrable experience of low level Windows OS internals
especially kernel development, driver & device model, networking stack, file
system object
• Understanding of malware and spyware techniques such as browser
hijacking, rootkits etc preferred but not essential
• Knowledge of the internals of common web applications and protocols
such as HTTP, web browsers, Instant Messenger clients etc
• Experience of designing and implementing complex algorithms in C++
Skills Required:
• Strong low level C++ in a Windows environment (XP SP2 and above; both
32 & 64 bit) – kernel, network stack experience essential; file system
experience preferred
• Experience using the Internet Explorer DOM
• Good C#/.Net skills
