Position: Security Consultant
Location: Springfield, Massachusetts, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Consults with project management and development teams to assess and
remediate application vulnerabilities
• Assist development teams in use of Fortify Security Source Code
scanning tool
• Provide final approval on source code vulnerabilities remediation
• Coordinate application penetration testing for both internal tools and
3rd parties
• Participate in the annual application security review process
REQUIREMENTS
• 3 – 5 years development experience with an emphasis on web
applications
• Knowledge of application development and deployment methodologies and
technologies including J2EE, .NET, web servers and application servers
• Knowledge of application architecture and design principles and
patterns is essential
• Knowledge of risk assessment procedures, policy formation,
authorization methodologies, authentication technologies and security attack
pathologies are essential
• Familiarity with application security assessment methods and tools
including source code scanning, threat modeling, penetration testing, and
application firewalls is desired
This opening currently resides in Springfield, MA, however as organizations and
their structures evolve, locations may be reevaluated and position location may
change. We are looking for candidates who have flexibility between
MassMutual's two locations: Springfield, MA, Enfield, CT.
