Firewall Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a principle member of our clients Global Network Core Engineering groups you
will lead major design initiatives and oversee all aspects of design and
deployment of the security components of a large global enterprise network.
This position requires a combination of security and network expertise.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Security Engineer is responsible for design of the global firewall and
intrusion detection and prevention infrastructure based on the existing
standards
- Provide technical expertise during network troubleshooting, major
outages and other issues escalated to network engineering
- Develop appropriate design documentation
- Work closely with ML Architecture and Engineering team in developing
and testing of new security related standards and ensure that these standards
can be implemented and supported
JOB REQUIREMENTS

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:
- A minimum of a bachelor degree in an engineering discipline
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the network communications field in
a similar role
- Strong knowledge of Checkpoint Firewall-1 on SUN and Nokia hardware,
Juniper (Netscreen) and Cisco PIX firewalls.
- Working knowledge of Checkpoint Provider-1 and Juniper NSM enterprise
firewall management systems
- Working knowledge of virtual firewall technology.
- Working knowledge of routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc), switching, TCP/IP
protocol suit, network and performance management
- Track record as a team lead and architect with responsibility for
designing, documenting, implementing, and supporting large networks
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Some business and financial knowledge
