Systems Engineer- Southern California
Job Description
In this critical role, you will have the opportunity to solve all technical
objections during the sales process. The Systems Engineer (SE) for the
Southeast region is a pre-sales position with some post sales activities.
:
- Presales activities include: product presentation, deployment design,
demonstration management, and technical solutions.
- Nurture Reseller Relationships including VAR training, initial VAR
technical support, and ongoing product training.
- Post sales duties include maintaining technical relationships with
current prospects and customers.
- Customer visits along with limited customer install support.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills
- Skills to understand network design, network management, packet level
trouble shooting, protocol knowledge including but not limited to: HTTP/S, FTP,
RTSP, MMS, DNS, SOCKS, AOL-IM, MSN-IM, YAHOO-IM, LDAP, RADIUS, and NTLM.
- Operating Systems Knowledge should include the Unix & Windows operating
systems.
- Network skills include routing technologies, Layer-4 technologies, WCCP
& Highly available/Fault tolerant design.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years experience as a Systems Engineer working with the Territory
Sales Rep to provide technical support to customers
- Must have working knowledge of products in the network/internet
security industry.
