Senior IT Manager-Infosec
Raytheon Polar Services - Experience Antarctica

Seeking a unique adventure as well as employment?  Raytheon Polar Services 
(RPS) is the primary contractor for the National Science Foundation’s 
(NSF) U.S. Antarctic Program (USAP).  We are looking to hire a Senior IT 
Manager-Infosec who will work full-time in our Centennial, Colorado office.

Responsibilities:

The Senior IT Manager-Infosec will be responsible for team development, 
technical leadership, and management of a Department that supports Information 
Security within the USAP.  Interfaces with all USAP entities.  This position is 
responsible for product and service delivery to the customer in compliance with 
existing RPSC and Information Technology policies/procedures.  The 
position’s primary responsibility is for the overall development, 
implementation, and enforcement of Information Security policies and 
architecture.

Ensures that applicable contract requirements for IT/Comms Information Security 
support are met in a manner that satisfies the customer’s needs and are 
performed in compliance with the Antarctic Treaty and all other applicable 
laws, regulations, and standards imposed by the Treaty, the NSF, and the U.S. 
Government.

Ensures that assigned Departmental deliverables are accomplished to acceptable 
levels of quality and performance on schedule and within budget.  Responsible 
for managing Departmental budget and staff within Annual Program Plan (APP) 
criteria and other directives.

Develops and implements Departmental vision, strategy, and goals through 
strategic and Annual Program 

Plans.  Defines and executes programs, projects, service levels, and other 
deliverables within the scope of the Department’s responsibility and 
charter.

Develops Departmental internal procedures and processes and implements 
continuous improvement programs.  Integrates Departmental procedures with 
Division and Program processes to achieve maximum efficiency.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Education:   BA/BS in Applied Science, Computer Sciences, Communication 
Engineering, MIS or other related fields.  Six years experience in management, 
supervision and leadership can be substituted for degree.


Qualifications:

Required:

At least ten years of directly applicable and progressively responsible IT 
and/or InfoSec experience is required.  A minimum of three years of management 
experience of comparable functions of similar size and scope is required.  At 
least 3 years of experience in information security or other information 
technology related fields is required. CISSP certification is required. Basic 
familiarity with the following is required: IPSec, IDS/IPS, Federal InfoSec 
Policies (FISMA, NIST, OMB 06-16), FW, VPN, Application Security, Penetration 
Testing, Certification & Accreditation, incident handling, awareness training, 
security auditing, forensics, internet security, wireless security, security 
architecture, host based security, and other security essentials.  Experience 
with Federal information security compliance (under OMB Circular A-130 and 
supplemental OMB circulars/memoranda - M-06-16 as an example) and NIST 
information guidance (per FISMA regulatory requirements) is required.

Desired:

Experience with OIG FISMA compliance audits is desired. Other industry standard 
Information Security certifications (S+, GIAC, SANS) desired.  Project 
Management Professional certifications desired.
