Position: Security Engineer

KlioSystems Consulting focuses on computer network and information security
consulting to global-2000 type companies. We are a group of efficient,
intelligent, motivated individuals who enjoy what we do and are dedicated to
our employee’s growth and success. We are currently seeking a mid- to
senior-level network engineer to compliment our team.
The engineer will work primarily at customer sites, designing and implementing
secure, scalable and reliable solutions in LAN, MAN, and WAN environments. An
ideal candidate should be fairly comfortable in most “post sale”
aspects of a consulting project. These aspects include needs assessment,
solution design and review, basic project management, documentation, client
communication, project implementation, complex troubleshooting, and acting as a
point of escalation.
Success in this position will be the direct result of your consistently high
quality of work, from client communication through design and implementation.
We’re looking for an individual with 5+ years of experience in the
industry and applicable network certifications. These individuals should also
have experience evaluating and recommending solutions for customer's security
needs.
Our team is sharp and any possible candidate will also be on top of his/her
game. If you are good, this is fun. You must be able to talk intelligently
and smoothly to executives about technical issues in a way they understand.
You must be able to debug potentially serious network issues at 1am while
people nearby think the sky is falling.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential Experience and/or Qualifications:
----------------------------
Knowledge and exposure in the following areas is a plus:
VoIP: General, tollbypass, H.323, SIP, Gateway and Gatekeeper design
Routing Protocols: OSPF, BGP V4, RIPv2, EIGRP, Multicast (PIM)
Spanning Tree Protocol
Quality of Service: CAR, LLQ, CBWFQ
Virtual Private Network: B2B, road warrior, redundant solutions
Content Networking: Layer 4 – 7 load balancing using the Cisco CSS
WAN Protocols: MPLS, HDLC, ATM T3, ATM IMA, ATM OC3, FR, FR to ATM
internetworking using FRF.8
WAN Capacity Management and SNMP
Enterprise IT security – planning, policy, enforcement.
Penetration testing – from network vulnerability scanning to manual
application testing
Security audits – both infrastructure design and code audits
OS hardening
TCP/IP knowledge
Networking experience
Client-to-site and Site-to-site VPNs
Security Event response
experience providing technical education, leadership and direction to clients
Knowledge of the following hardware platforms a must:
Cisco hardware and IOS
Windows 2000 and later
UNIX – the more flavors the better.
Checkpoint Firewall-1
Various security utilities
Gnu and other popular open source software packages
Knowledge of the following platforms a plus:
Cisco PIX Firewall 5xx & FWSM
Cisco Secure Intrusion Detection
Juniper NetScreen Firewalls
Knowledge, Abilities, Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in
writing and in oral presentations. Effectively transfer knowledge to others at
both a layman and technical level, and interface with a global team of network
professionals which may require work beyond normal business hours.
Education

BS in Computer Science or a related field and/or comparable work experience.
Desired Certifications
----------------------------
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) is also a plus.
Travel
----------------------------
Occasional travel may be required to support business continuity services and
client technology support.
