Position: Security Consultant

Department Description MWSS responsibilities include delivers professional
and managed security consulting services.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations We are currently seeking a solutions
architect with strong Wireless LAN, VoIP and enterprise security to create
security architectures and serve as part of our team of professionals providing
security solutions to our customers.
Specific Responsibilities include:
• Lead enterprise, and WLAN security services development and delivery
effort • Lead mobile device security services initiatives.
• Perform threat assessments and identify architectures and controls to
substantially mitigate associated risks
Specific Knowledge/Skills An in-depth understanding of network security
concepts and fundamentals like cryptographic algorithms, firewalls, Intrusion
Detection/Prevention Systems, VPN, Security Information Management
•Hands-on proven experience in secure network architecture design
•Expertise in secure networking and management protocols e.g. SSH, TLS,
SSL, SNMPv3
•Expertise in client-server and peer-to-peer systems communication,
management and routing protocols, multicast and unicast protocols and protocol
analysis and decoding.
•Operational and RF experience in all aspects of enterprise wireless
environment including configuring, and troubleshooting RFID, Bluetooth,
80211a/b/g technologies
•In-depth experience and understanding within 802.1x and 802.11i security
related to enterprise network implementation
•Knowledge of cellular (CDMA, GPRS, UMTS) environments, AAA, PKI, and
tunneling protocols
•Exposure to ISO 7498-2- Information Processing Systems and Security
Architecture
•Expertise in practical application of the defense-in-depth strategy for
information assurance
•Network Infrastructure models
•Excellent written , oral communication skills and documentation skills
•Ability to work in a collaborative and team environment
The candidate should possess a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer
Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field with 8-10 years proven
experience in architecting, designing and assessing security solutions for
network connectivity.
Experience in the following areas will be considered a plus:
• Understanding NIST, ISO17799, HIPPA, SOX and related government
regulatory compliance policies.
• Risk Management concepts
• Developing software and/or hardware to implement security technologies
including some exposure to malicious code
• Experience with directory structure including the authentication and
encryption components
• Application and Web Security fundamentals
The candidate should preferably possess CISSP, CWSP or other security or
wireless certifications. The candidate should be passionate about security and
be willing to stay current with the latest in the field of wireless security.
