Position: Sr. Security Engineer
Location: Los Angeles, , United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-03-03
The Senior Secure Systems Engineer will provide technical direction and
leadership on multiple programs developing, producing, and maintaining security
solutions for defense products. Primary duties include security architecture
development, security evaluations, and vulnerability/exploitation analyses.
The candidate will work closely with project management, system engineers,
hardware engineers, and software engineers, in a team environment. The
candidate will brief management, DoD customers and U.S. Government agencies,
and peer groups on security-related topics and product-specific issues, and
will provide guidance and mentoring to develop less experienced personnel.
Required Skills:
The candidate should have at least 5 years experience in secure system
development, with expertise in the following areas: communications security,
computer security, network security, cryptography and key management,
anti-tamper, secure communication protocols, specification and requirements
generation, security architecture development, and
threat/vulnerability/exploitation analyses. Experience with at least one of
the following certification processes is desired: Common Criteria, FIPS PUB
140, and/or NSA. The candidate must be highly motivated, require little
supervision, and have strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written, verbal,
and presentation skills are required.
Required Education: MS in engineering, math, or science.
US citizenship with a current DoD Secret clearance is required. A DoD Top
Secret with current SSBI or equivalent is preferred.
