My client markets the industry’s highest performance ASIC-based LAN 
security switches and appliances that enable and secure business in 
today’s challenging environment.  By providing both pre-connect and 
post-connect security functions in a single integrated solution, the company 
delivers on the promise of Network Access Control in a variety of cost 
effective, deployable form factors designed for the Enterprise.

We are looking for a senior product marketing manager to be responsible for 
defining and executing the solutions marketing strategy, working closely with 
internal groups, as well as interfacing directly with customers.  This 
individual will report directly to the vice president of marketing and will 
develop the value propositions and competitive differentiation for target 
vertical markets.

Responsibilities include ownership and management of key marketing activities 
including:

•  Driving development of sales collateral and tools
•  Customer application case studies
•  ROI and TCO modeling
•  Management of ongoing competitive product research and analysis, 
alongside resulting sales and marketing strategy and toolset.  
•  Development and management of pricing strategy across the solution
•  Key contributor to outbound marketing product launch deliverables 
including solution messaging, sales strategies and supporting toolset, 
sales/channel training, and analyst, press and event promotion
•  Key contributor to corporate and product marketing activities such as 
product release deliverables, product specific support at industry conferences, 
trade shows, seminars, sales kickoffs, etc. Will work with PR and customers on 
press releases, media outreach, white papers, analyst briefings and case studies


JOB REQUIREMENTS

This role requires an in-depth understanding of enterprise networks and LAN 
security technologies. Past experience as a product evangelist and in driving 
product marketing for products in a new market segment is highly desirable. 
Individual will provide product marketing leadership and work closely with the 
rest of the Marketing team in the development of product positioning and other 
outbound marketing deliverables.  

•  5+ years direct work experience as a product marketing manager with an 
enterprise network infrastructure or network security product company 

•  Must possess a good understanding of enterprise networking and LAN 
security concepts and applications

•  Superior verbal, presentation and written communication skills

•  Must be able to express ideas, marketing and sales strategy in a 
compelling manner, build relationships and effectively interface with the sales 
organization, marketing colleagues, channel partners and customers at all levels

•  Ability to identify sales needs and confidently translate those needs 
into effective tools, training and product requirements

•  Self-starter and self-sufficient; ability to work in a dynamic 
environment and interact with all levels and functional groups within the 
company

•  Experience directly supporting field and inside sales teams and the 
channel to positively effect deal close rates and revenue objectives

•  Some travel required
