Position: Security Director
Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States

Commercial MSSP serving diverse clientele seeks a IT Security Operations
Director for their Chicago facility. This person will be the senior individual
in this facility (one of 3 SOC’s for the organization). Manage a growing
team of 20 + engineers and analysts providing 24/7 monitoring of client network
security perimeters. Facility will also be implementing a SAN in 2007, so
experience with this technology would be beneficial.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Strong SOC/NOC type operations management experience. Ability to lead, manage
and develop technical teams. Ability to ensure outstanding service delivery and
customer satisfaction. Ability to monitor, identify and swiftly correct process
deficiencies. Inspires confidence in customers. Technical familiarity with
firewalls, intrusion, incident handling, security processes, policies,
management, regulatory requirements. Strong written and verbal communication
skills. Ability to analyze operational performance data and metrics and
determine courses of action. Strong process and policy orientation. Able to
develop, implement and enforce sound policies and procedures.
5-8 years of IT security related management, or network engineering type
management with a strong security component. Managed teams of 10-20 people
including hiring, firing, staff development, work and schedule assignments,
etc. Combination of experience on the enterprise (client) and vendor side would
be excellent. Prior experience as network engineer, security engineer, firewall
engineers, IT operations manager. Exposure to firewalls, IDS, IPS. Strong
networking background. Experience working directly with customers. Former
experience as MSSP SOC Manager or Director, or Enterprise side IT Security
Operations Manager or Director would be ideal.
