Duties of this position:
========================
Reports to the Manager of Appication Recovery.
*Assist Manager and Director to ensure that the Operations Center ( OC) is in
a constant state of readiness to recover applications and resume business in
accordance with the mandated terms from corporate.
*Work closely with OC management and staff, Company IT and selected
contingency Company Plan personnel to implement and maintain Portability, and
related Business Resumption and Disaster Recovery plans and contracts for the
OC, in order to meet contract obligations.
* Collaborate with Company IT Operations and other departments to provide
guidance regarding the IT services provided by Company in support of the
contract between OC and Company, including project definition and project
management, as necessary.
* In addition, provide support for the contingency Company Plan in their
efforts to develop and maintain systems to support Portability. Act as an
intermediary between Company and the selected contingency Plan, aiding both in
their efforts to support OC and requirements for Portability and other
projects. This position must provide technical guidance regarding system and
application software installation and maintenance, system tuning, hardware and
infrastructure changes and upgrades, with particular attention to the impact
upon OC Portability, Business Resumption and Disaster Recovery.
* This position is responsible for remaining current on Company's IT
infrastructure, with particular attention to OC systems, hardware, and
software, and the potential impact of changes on OC. In relation to this
responsibility, maintain documentation of OC and Company organization and
processes, both business and technical, in support of the portability related
components laid out. This will involve working with tools to be purchased for
support of Portability and other OC and projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Do You Have These Technical Skills?
===================================
* Working knowledge of application recovery and business resumption concepts
and practices is beneficial.
* Prior technical experience across varied components of the Company operating
environment, including mainframe, midrange, network, etc., is required.
* Strong background in zOS, Sysplex management, and LPAR configuration needed.
* Knowledge of DASD and tape storage systems and software, backup and
retention, and data mirroring processes, HSM, TSM and CA-1, SAN technology,
virtual and automated tape systems important.
* Knowledge of CICS, VTAM, TCP/IP, MQ Series preferred. Additional
understanding of AIX, WebSphere, DB2, RACF and LDAP preferred.
