Position: Jr. Security Analyst

Department Description:
Motorola Security operations Center is currently seeking an individual with
strong security background to join a team of professionals delivering quality
IT security services to a variety of top-tier international clients. WE are a
Fortune 100 Company with sales over US$36 Billion in 2005, a global leader in
communications technologies across many business lines. Our Security Operations
Center (SOC) provides 24x7x365 security support service for our customers.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
The Security consultant team has a wide range of responsibilities although the
primary function is to perform incident response and advanced investigation of
security events. It is also the Security Consultant's duty to perform various
security tasks that are requested by the customer, including daily interface
with the customer, identifying new customer requirements, and assisting in the
creation of new services to meet their needs.
Responsibilities also include malicious tool identification, malware analysis
and monitoring external sources for new viruses, attacks, threats, and
availability of critical patches. The members of the Security Consultant group
must have the ability to act independently of management and must possess
critical decision making skills.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Basic Qualifications:
Associates degree
2+ years IT network security experience
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
Associates degree required, a Bachelors degree is preferred in an IT related
program and 2+ years of full time, hands-on information security experience.
Strong analytical and report writing skills
Excellent presentation skills to a varied audience
Proficiency with at least one scripting language
Experience coordinating incident response efforts
Able to quickly and accurately assess emerging threats
Familiarity with multiple security products; IDS, IPS, Firewalls, Anti-virus
systems
Strong understanding of network protocols
**NOTE** Candidate must be a United States citizen or a Naturalized Citizen of
the United States. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security
investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive
and classified information.
