Position: Security Engineer
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-02-15
I am trying to fill two (2) Systems Solutions Engineer positions in the
Research Triangle Park, NC area for my infosec client. These are relatively
junior-level positions (2-5 yrs experience), for candidates who will be
responsible for technical sales, support, installation, and configuration for
enterprise, OEM, and government prospects and customers. The position will
report to the Principal Solutions Architect. In addition, the SEs will:
Become very proficient in the feature/function, design, and use of all company
products
Work with the sales account manager to plan an effective strategy for pursuing
sales opportunities
Work with prospects to define end user requirements
Work with the CO Technical Services staff to design an effective solution for
the customer
Document the solution in a clear and concise way
Present the solution to a highly technical audience.
Configure and Install our solution in the customer’s environment.
Train the customer in the use of CO technology
From time-to-time be on call for post-sales support duties.
Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Good knowledge of IP and layer 2 networking
Knowledge of IP security is a plus
At least 2 years in a customer-facing technical sales role. Excellent written
and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills. BS/MS
in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree or its equivalent
Certifications such as CISSP or CCNA would also be a plus.
