The UCG team is seeking a Software Security Engineer with demonstrated penetration testing testing and security review skills. We're looking for a star performer who’s interested in doing bleeding edge security research and penetration testing on new Microsoft products. This individual will play a key role in helping build security into the UCG team working with other testers, PMs, and developers on the team to instill a security aware culture. The key responsibilities would include: 1) Research - Being on the forefront of researching security. This includes research of externally found exploits as well as proactive research on technology bets the UCG team makes, 2) Penetration Testing - parlaying the research into actual exploits and doing in depth hacking of features and services, 3) Team Support - being an expert in security and being available to team members to answer questions and give guidance, 4) Training - Educating team members through presentations and white papers, and 5) Tools - Helping to develop a security toolset which increases the team's productivity in finding security issues. To thrive in this position you'll need a deep technical understanding of a broad technology set and the ability to pick up others at a rapid pace. Strong technical and communication skills, ability to deal with ambiguity, and very high level of creativity and inquisitiveness are a must. Position requirements also include a BS/MS in Computer science or equivalent experience. Previous experience with security is important, but a desire to take on big challenges and help improve the overall engineering process is equally vital. Experience with VoIP, C#, C/C++, ASP.NET, HTML\Scripting, SQL, and Networking are very helpful.
