Position: Jr. Security Analyst
Location: Crystal Lake, Illinois, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-02-13
Network Security Analyst is responsible for 24/7 monitoring operations within
the Security Operations Center (SOC). The Analyst will maintain Intrusion
Detection Systems and monitor the network for malicious/unusual traffic;
evaluate the type and severity of incoming events and take the appropriate
corrective action or escalation procedure.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
1. Open source Snort®, Snort-Inline, Nessus, and other open source project
knowledge (on-hands experience)
2. Ethereal, tcpdump, and other packet sniffers
3. Networking and routing knowledge
4. Packet analysis for identifying IDS false positives
5. Demonstrated ability to write Snort® IDS signatures
6. Must have stellar writing skills.
