Project Lead (1123)
Sourcefire, Inc. is looking for a Project Lead to join our highly talented and
rapidly expanding team in our Headquarters in Columbia, Maryland. The primary
responsibilities of the Lead include the following:
* Oversees the planning, design, and delivery of Sourcefire
applications on partner platforms
* Works with partners, test, product management, and technical
documentation to define project scope, including deliverables, goals &
objectives and resource requirements
* Participate in some hands-on development and integration.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, ability to
convey advanced technical concepts effectively
* Strong people skills, ability to work effectively with Sourcefire
internal teams and Sourcefire partners
* Strong technical skills, first-hand knowledge and experience with the
software development life cycle
* Exceptional organizational skills, ability to manage multiple
priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment
* dvanced problem solving skills, ability to develop effective
long-term solutions to complex problems
* bility to learn new skills and apply them quickly
Qualifications Include:
* Familiar with Linux/Unix command line tools/shell scripting
* Ability to write perl and advanced bash shell scripts
* Familiar with Linux/Unix packaging tools like rpm and slackware
* Basic system administration skills in a Unix and windows environment
* Comfortable working with hardware (racking equipment, cabling,
installing hard drives, memory or network cards)
* Basic Networking knowledge
* Motivated team player with excellent communication skill and a
positive attitude
Desirable:
* C/C++ Development experience in a Unix environment
* Experience with MySql or other database
* BSCS, BSEE or equivalent.
