Position: Security Engineer
Location: Burlington, Massachusetts, United States

Veracode is looking for software engineers with application security
experience. You will work with our engineering team and the Center for
Software Assurance to ensure the highest level of quality in our customer
deliverables. Veracode has a great team that is working on the cutting edge of
application security. We have created a buzz with customers, industry experts
and investors alike. You can be a part of this exciting journey and help shape
what happens in the application security space.
Responsibilities
Security Technicians primary responsibility will be to use our proprietary
technology to identify and review security issues in applications. This will
include confirming the existence of software coding errors in C/C++ and Java
applications, then
working with our engineers to identify trends, suggest remediation strategies
and automated means of detection. When required, you may also interact with
customers to assist them in understanding security errors. You may also be
involved in the efforts of the application security research lab to investigate
new threat spaces and attack vectors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

* BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or related discipline
* Conversant in either C/C++ or Java (both languages a plus)
* Solid understanding of secure coding practices, with experience identifying
and remediating security vulnerabilities
* Strong analytical, organizational, and technical writing skills
* Self-motivated, results driven, and able to work effectively in a startup
environment
