Position: Security Engineer
Location: Austin, Texas, United States

BreakingPoint Systems is a private company based in Austin, Texas.
BreakingPoint is focused on the development and sales of network test
equipment. All positions will require the candidate to work from the Austin
office.
BreakingPoint is looking for an experienced Research Engineer. Research
Engineers are responsible for analyzing new and existing vulnerabilities
through reverse-engineering, source code auditing, and active testing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Discover new vulnerabilities in network-enabled products
2. Reverse-engineer compiled software to discover new vulnerabilities
3. Research new evasion techniques and apply these to existing exploits
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Job Requirements
1. Expert knowledge of TCP/IP and other networking/application protocols
2. Strong knowledge of application debugging tools (OllyDbg, Windbg, GDB)
3. Strong knowledge of x86 assembly and binary file structure
4. Experience with reverse-engineering tools such as IDA Pro
5. Strong programming skills in C and at least one scripting language
6. Creative, problem-solving approach to projects
7. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
