Position: Security Engineer
Location: Austin, Texas, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

BreakingPoint Systems is a private company based in Austin, Texas.
BreakingPoint is focused on the development and sales of network test
equipment. All positions will require the candidate to work from the Austin
office.
Key Responsibilities
1. Analyze, document, and test existing network protocols
2. Design and implement stress tests for network protocols
3. Work with the security team to discover flaws in protocol implementations
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Job Requirements
1. Expert knowledge of TCP/IP and other networking/application protocols
2. Strong knowledge of network analysis tools (wireshark, hping, netcat)
3. Strong knowledge of types of flaws affecting protocol implementations
4. Strong programming skills in at least one language
5. Creative, problem-solving approach to projects
6. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
