Threat Research / Analysis Engineer
Aruba Networks is seeking individuals who want to be part of a fast-paced and

Description:
We're looking for someone to do threat research/analysis on our products.
Here are some of the things this person will do in their day-to-day work:
Keep up with the latest wired and wireless exploits, and assess their
applicability to our products. Duties will include: Run network scanners
against our products (e.g. Nessus, WiVAST) Develop custom plug-ins for newly
discovered vulnerabilities. Run static analysis tools on source/object code
looking for vulnerabilities. Develop proof-of-concept exploits when new
vulnerabilities are found. Dream up new ways to attack our systems.
Interact/collaborate with CTO staff, Engineering and QA with respect to
direction, findings.
Requirements:
Extensive programming experience in C and one or more scripting languages.
Significant Linux experience, including development tool chain (gcc, gdb, etc).
Embedded development experience. Good understanding of firewall, IDS, packet
capture/filtering/scanning techniques. Experience auditing and assessing common
application architectures including web-based applications, database systems
and middleware components. Security penetration testing experience. Experience
with open-source security tools. Experience with network protocol stack
(analysis and code development).
Not Required but a plus to have the following:Understanding of RF concepts and
the IEEE 802.11 protocol stack (nice to have, but we can teach this).
Experience with Linux kernel development. Solid understanding of basic
cryptographic concepts, including confidentiality, integrity verification,
authentication. Working knowledge of network authentication protocols (802.1x,
EAP, NTLM, MsCHAP, etc). Experience with Linux wireless tools (e.g. madwifi).
