Covestic is looking for a skilled Senior Network Security Engineer that can
support a very large environment's firewall and intrusion prevention systems.
The Senior Network Security Engineer will enable the client to increase their
perimeter protection capabilities primarily around detecting and responding to
different types of security incidents. The ideal candidate will have the
opportunity to work in a large environment on an innovative project with key
security technologies. It will require the ability to troubleshoot issues and
respond to a variety of security incidents for a major corporation.
If you have hands-on administration and implementation experience, preferably
in large environments with all of the following; (Firewalls ' Juniper
Netscreen, Intrusion Prevention Systems ' Tipping Point, Networking ' Cisco and
Juniper), then we would like to talk with you!
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
' Production experience deploying, configuring, troubleshooting and operational
maintenance of large scale (200+ devices), carrier level, stateful,
high-availability firewalls, in-line intrusion prevention (not intrusion
detection) systems and associated centralized management systems.
' Netscreen Firewalls with NSM centralized manager (preferably the higher end
devices ISG / NS series)
' Tipping Point IPS with SMS centralized manager
' Experience in working with large firewall and NAT policies (1000+ rules)
' Experience working within large enterprise / service provider networks in a
SLA / ticket driven operations role
' CCNA level minimum networking knowledge
' Network troubleshooting experience in large / complicated environments
' Experience with troubleshooting network sessions using tools such as tcpdump,
snoop, ethereal, etc
' Unix systems administration specifically Linux (Enterprise or Redhat) on both
x86 and x64 platforms to include:
' Systems fault analysis
' Postgresql database experience
' Services administration NTPD, SNMP
' Radius and Pam authentication
' NFS and SMB file systems
' General Unix systems administration
' Windows systems administration knowledge for troubleshooting
' Network protocols / applications knowledge (and experience troubleshooting
with) to include:
' NTP, SNMP, HTTP(S), DNS, ARP, static and dynamic routing, NAT, 802.1Q,
port-channels, vlan-tagging, SSH, SQL, NSRP/HSRP/VRRP or the like
' Generic server load balancer (SLB) knowledge (F5, Netscaler, CSM, etc)
' Experience working with centralized authentication / authorization services
such as Radius and RSA SecurID
' Rotating on-call 24x7 support
' Experience with PCI and compliance requirements is helpful
' Certifications such as: CCNA, CISSP, JNCIA, JNCIS
