Position: Sr. Security Analyst
Location: Pretoria, , South Africa
Type: Contract
Closing Date: 2007-01-07
This position is responsible for performing technical security assessments of
clients’ information technology systems (including Internet, Intranet,
Applications, Hosts, Firewalls etc.) and related policies and procedures.
Communication in both written and verbal forms, including training courses,
workshops, and consultations with clients and formal reports. These assessments
are conducted on a by-project basis, typically ranging between one and three
weeks per project, and will occasionally be done at the client site, either in
South Africa, or abroad. This role is also required to conduct on-going
research in the IT security arena and occasionally assist in the sales process.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- IT/IS or Computer Science degree
- Industry certifications (ideal), e.g.
-- CISSP
-- MCSE
-- CCNA
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Ideally a generalist IT background (min. 5 years), with exposure to software
development, network infrastructure and design, web applications, Internet and
Intranet technologies, systems integration and security
- Solid, hands-on experience with *nixes, Windows and Cisco routers
- Proven track record of success in technology projects
- Some hacking experience ideal
- Report writing experience essential
- Some Project Management experience ideal
