Position:       Sales Engineer
Location:       Bay Area, California, United States
Type:           Permanent F/T

The Channel Systems Engineer is responsible for ensuring the rapid, successful 
deployment of Company products remotely and at customer sites. This position 
encompasses sales engineering, project management, integration engineering and 
customer support responsibilities. The Channel Systems Engineer is engaged with 
the customer from the point of pre-sales evaluation through all technical 
processes until the purchase order is received. The Channel Systems Engineer is 
responsible for customer satisfaction throughout the process and must have a 
passion for ensuring our customers are delighted. The Channel Systems Engineer 
will routinely handle Tier 1 customer issues that arise. Unusual failures and 
custom function requests are escalated to Customer Care.  The Channel Systems 
Engineer is in charge of building a relationship with the customer.

Ability to execute on current support issues while providing Sales Support / 
Systems Engineering support to the regional sales teams.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Experience and Skills: 

Outstanding technical sales skills
Passion for customer satisfaction
2+ years in a role with customer support and sales engineering responsibilities
Strong networking knowledge
Knowledge of protocols: SMTP, DNS, FTP, SSH, TCP/IP,LDAP
UNIX system administrator skills
Fanatical attention to detail and follow-up
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Technical proficiency with email and the email infrastructure
Bachelor's degree is required
