$100,000 - $110,000 base range, Bonus

This role belongs to a growing global network security services provider and
reports to the Executive Director of Professional Services. This company serves
government and large commercial enterprises and boasts consultant tenure well
above industry averages. You’ll work closely with customers to provide
technical network security consulting services. Consultants with this firm are
expected to sell additional services. This role requires a high degree of
knowledge in various IT network and application areas and the application of
logical security to address business needs, a high level of hands-on experience
in data communications technologies and protocols, operating systems, security
products and emerging technologies such as Web Applications, Wireless
Communications and VOIP Security Issues. You’ll be expected to make
technical presentations to customers and at public conferences. Performance
metrics for this position include billable targets, meeting project bud
get, deliverable quality and schedule, thought leadership in developing new
security services and a high level of customer satisfaction.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

A BA/BS degree is expected and a CISSP certification is highly preferred. You
must demonstrate a strong understanding of networks, operating systems, network
protocols, data communications networks and general overall security
principles. Specific desired technical skills include IDS, testing tools such
as NMAP and NESSUS, experience with routers, firewalls, web services, VOIP
security and more. Expect travel in the 20-25% range primarily on the East
Coast. You must demonstrate outstanding communication skills and excellent
customer service orientation. Government clearance is preferred but the ability
to obtain a clearance is a must.
