Position: Security Architect
Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-12-16
• Designs and delivers security solutions in application and
infrastructure environments.
• Defines complex enterprise wide information systems solutions which
support current and future business needs.
• Acts as enterprise technologist to provide technical management to
large, strategic, complex systems development projects involving multiple
platforms, distributed processing and multi-tier client server applications.
• Skilled at leveraging new and existing software and technology.
Projects are typically cross functional, technically difficult, and involve
combinations of platforms.
• Responsible for the identification, design, development, implementation
and maintenance of information systems for diverse users, platforms, computing
environment, (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server),
technologies (e.g., interactive online systems, internet/intranet, and world
wide web) software and tools.
• Provides consultation to business partners and peer groups regarding
long and short range business requirements.
• Recommends innovations which anticipate the future direction of the
business, its drivers and technology strategy. Negotiates and monitors vendor
contracts.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, systems analysis or a
related study, or equiv. exp.; technical Masters degree preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience touching both applications and
infrastructure environments.
• Extensive knowledge of all components of a technical architecture,
Infrastructure, Client/Server, Object-Oriented, Mainframe, Middleware, and Web
environments.
• Extensive experience in layered solutions and designs, diverse
technical configurations, technologies and processing environments. In-depth
knowledge in software engineering languages and tools; proficient in
new and emerging technologies.
• Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring, teamwork, facilitation and
negotiation skills.
• Exceptional project management, written, verbal and presentation
skills.
*Prefer somone who has worked successfully in large corporate environment.
