Position: Security Architect
Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States
Type: Permanent P/T

My client, a Fortune 100 firm, is in search of someone to take on the role of
top security subject matter expert for the entire organization. In addition to
the background and qualifications listed below, this person must be able to
demonstrate particular strengths in the areas of:
Leadership
Collaboration
Operational effectiveness
Deep knowledge of governance, compliance, standards
Solid technical security expertise, broad technology exposure
Enterprise security experience
Responsibilities:
As a critical resource to the Chief Information Security Office, this position
is responsible for technical security standards and technical requirements for
enterprise security systems, providing primary technical decision support to
the CISO, CTO and CIO on technical security issues, and disposition of
exceptions to enterprise security standards. The successful candidate will
apply broad and deep knowledge of information systems security in the financial
services domain to build a robust information security technology practice
within the organization. The incumbent will be expected to lead both
information systems security policy and strategy development at the enterprise
level. An important part of this role, therefore, will be education, talent
development and consulting, as well as decisive technical leadership.
The individual will consult, engage, educate and influence customers and
partners across the organization on architecture requirements to ensure
alignment to Security policies and standards. The individual will also lead the
decision-making process for determining architectures and systems development
for Information Security related solutions across the organization. This
includes conducting research, identifying technology trends, completing
technology assessments of strategic importance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Advanced degree and
CSP certification preferred.
Advanced expertise in information systems security, security systems design,
security threat assessment, security industry trends and security-related
regulatory and compliance requirements for financial services institutions
Strong leadership and collaboration skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional skills in providing thought leadership within and across
organizational lines
