Position: Forensics Engineer
Location: Arlington, Virginia, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-12-15
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Ability to perform advanced forensics collection techniques using
EnCase® software;
2. Perform network scans;
3. Read and analyze packet traces and raw log dumps. Provide reports of
such data;
4. Provide consulting advice on vulnerabilities or potential
vulnerabilities within architecture;
5. Communicate with excellent oral and written skills findings of such
reports to all levels within TSA from executive to working level;
6. Work closely with TSA staff to collaborate with FBI and other
affiliated organizations during investigations or to obtain information for
investigations;
7. Develop and provide analysis reports;
8. Provide consulting of known system vulnerabilities and exploits and
develop and provide reports of such; and
9. Provide support, reports and all related deliverables on ‘chain of
custody’ matters.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and
must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Secret clearance required.
Perform daily analytical actions in the performance of forensics data
collection and reporting. Assist in developing, managing, communicating, and
implementing a Forensics program. Must possess experience with EnCase software.
