Position: Security Product Marketing Manager
Location: Bay Area, California, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-12-20
Working closely with the Marketing team, Product Management, Regional Channel
Management & Marketing, Sales Resource Center (SRC), Field Sales, and Channel
Partners, the responsibilities of this position will include:
• Product marketing for Company’s Web security and/or application
acceleration solution (based on Company appliances) into a global enterprise
customer base and world-wide channel partners
• Develop product marketing materials (datasheets, solution sheets,
presentations, technical briefs, performance testing, white papers, FAQs,
announcement guides, sales training, partner news, etc.) for our application
acceleration solution
• Speak at industry events and company functions about Company solutions
– conferences, sales training events, seminars, and roundtables.
• Visit customers and prospects to review buying criteria, present new
solutions, discuss product roadmap directions and provide overall subject
matter expertise for application acceleration
• Coordinate and host selected webinars for the sales channel for product
news and sales training.
• Conceive and develop marketing and sales promotions
• Develop competitive overviews; coordinate RFP resources and responses
for Company solutions.
• Support PR/AR efforts in application acceleration
• Develop solution configuration and case studies as benchmark methodology
& deployment guides for Company solutions
• Contribute to monthly Partner and Customer Newsletters
• Visit with Field Sales Teams & Channel Partners to determine
effectiveness of product marketing materials, programs, and Company solutions.
This position will report to the Director of Product Marketing. Local and
international travel is required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills
The ideal candidate should have a strong analysis mindset with proven written
and verbal communication skills. This position requires experience with public
speaking and product sales training programs. The candidate should have
experience with enterprise customers and regular interaction with sales
personnel.
Required Experience
The ideal candidate will have Bachelors degree in a technical discipline (or
relevant job experience). This candidate should have 5 years of technical
product experience in the Networking, Application Acceleration, and Web-based
Applications markets. Product experience with appliance based solutions,
enterprise policy management and reporting are a plus.
