JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:       Security System Administrator
Location:       Northern, Virginia, United States
Type:           Permanent P/T

Closing Date:   2006-12-10

Dowless & Associates has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer in the 
Northern VA area for a classified contract.  Specific tasks include but are not 
limited to the following:
&#149;  Proof of concept testing
&#149;  IDS/IPS integration design for all Agency networks
&#149;  Software testing (patches, XPUs, other updates)
&#149;  Beta testing
&#149;  Tier 111 support of current infrastructure






JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Mandatory Qualifications
&#149;  TS/SCI with FULL POLY
&#149;  BS degree or higher in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, 
Electrical Engineering or
&#149;  related field.
&#149;  Personnel shall have at least 5 years experience in a related field.
&#149;  Experience with designing, implementing, & maintaining NIDS/HIDS/IPS
&#149;  Experience with Linux, Solaris and Windows Operating Systems
&#149;  Thorough understanding of IF-based networking
&#149;  User and implementation level experience with all of the following 
technologies: IDS (e.g., Snort, RealSecure), IPS, SIM/SEM (e.g, ArcSight, 
eSecurity), network mapping, vulnerability scanners (e.g., Nessus), firewalls, 
and routers (Cisco)
&#149;  Experience with VISIO and PowerPoint

Desirable Qualifications
&#149;  Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) 
&#149;  MS Degree or higher
