The position will work closely with engineering, sales, channel partners and customers to bring products successfully to market. Specific Responsibilities - Build relationships with customers, sales team and channel partners to understand customer and market requirements and environments. - Develop and publish product requirements for existing and new products including detailed feature descriptions and customer usage scenarios. - Work with engineering team to define release themes and corresponding product deliverables. - Drive product from initial concept through development to timely and successful completion. - Attend engineering product Functional Specifications reviews and provide detailed feedback on customer expectations. - In addition, during the product development process, act as a field expert to engineering as questions and deployment details are needed. - Work with program management on product End Of Sales/End Of Life, inventory analysis, pricing and margin analysis, and other program management activities. - Work with marketing team on product introductions and launches. - Act as product expert and knowledge leader internally and externally to insure the success of the product in the defined markets. - Provide partner management and coordination for key, relevant technology partners in support of the product. - Provide timely competitive analysis on products to insure Company products are differentiated in the market This position can be based in either our corporate office in Sunnyvale or in our Waterloo, Ontario, Canada office. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- Required Skills - In-depth knowledge and experience with SNMP management systems, OSS’s, patch management solutions and embedded device management technologies. - Practical knowledge of customer deployments desired. - Communicate and execute from senior mgmt strategic position down to detailed tactical action plan implementation. - Have breadth and depth of skill being both strategic and tactical in ability. - Roll-up the sleeves attitude, yet able to scale to a strategic level of thinking. - Team player with strong leadership and communications skills required. - Results oriented; is able to get things done and motivates others to action. - Able to work across various organizations and with internal and external customers and channel partners. - Must have strong presentation and writing skills, being articulate and enthusiastic. - Some (25%) travel required, including international travel. - Able to work independently on issues with diverse scope, analyzing various business elements and determining how to use various resources to meet goals. Required Experience - Requires 8 years of experience.
