Data Security Engineer - Intrusion / Penetration
General Job Description:
Develops and implements security systems for any manual or automated system.
Responsible for ensuring the protection of corporate data against unauthorized
disclosure, accidental or intentional loss of data, or unauthorized
modification.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Must have:
- Bachelors degree
- 10 years experience
- Government security clearance Active TS
- 3+ years experience in applicable technologies
- Detailed knowledge of configuring IDS sensors and other data sources for
misuse identification.
- Detailed knowledge of the following:
-integrating, operating and maintaining the key technology components
-performing sensor tuning and general IDS system troubleshooting
-developing new signatures/rule sets
-performing advanced, offline analysis data
-researching and tracking vulnerabilities
-incident response
-penetration studies and vulnerability assessments
- Certification in intrusion detection/analysis and vulnerability
assessment/penetration analysis and must complete the internal ESOC Standard
Operational Procedures certification for Tier 1, 2 or 3.
Required Skills:
- Certification in intrusion detection/analysis and vulnerability
assessment/penetration analysis
- TCP/IP Networking, Red Hat Linux Administration, Security Monitoring
Desired Skills:
RHCE, CCNA, CISSP, Oracle DBA
