In addition to the building materials that go into homes and commercial

<b>Description:</b>
The successful candidate will work as a member of the Information Security team
and provide information security process and technology expertise to the team
as well as other project teams and will plan and execute security projects. The
primary goals of the assignment are to protect the confidentiality, integrity
and availability of Owens Corning systems and information and to maintain the
technical facilities that aid in this protection.
<b>Scope:</b>
Implementation of information security processes and technology. Security
project planning and execution, virus and spam prevention and remediation,
intrusion detection, prevention and remediation, log analysis, Wintel, UNIX and
network security improvements, security and vulnerability scans and
remediation, password and access audits. Active participation in incident
response is required. Candidate will also be expected to participate in
security compliance and business controls projects (SOX, HIPAA, etc.) Candidate
will participate in technology abuse investigations and reporting. Project work
will be executed with the members of other IT teams, both Owens Corning and
contractors, responsible for technology design, deployment and operations.
Candidate will maintain currency in information security technology through
formal and informal training.
Impeccable honesty and trustworthiness are requirements of this assignment.
Candidate must agree to a thorough background check. Anyone convicted of an
information technology related crime will not be considered. Candidate must
sign a non-disclosure agreement prior to interviews. If hired, the candidate
must agree to random monitoring of network activity to ensure compliance with
corporate policies.
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<li>Focus on application security
<li>Wireless and network intrusion analysis and reviews.
<li>Vulnerability assessments
<li>SOX compliance testing
<li>Monitoring logs and security console.
<li>Incident monitoring/management (including off-hours, on-call, pager, e-mail
notification.)
<li>OS and security patch monitoring.
<li>Periodic Security infrastructure maintenance (tripwire, etc.)
<li>Intrusion detection and monitoring (tripwire, Cisco IDS, tuning, etc.)
<li>Project consulting (particularly with the mfg and process control teams)
<li>Forensic analysis and intellectual property disclosure investigations.
<li>Identifying and eliminating waste.
<b>Technical Skills:</b>
<li>UNIX security
<li>SAP/application security
<li>WINTEL
<li>Network, router, firewall security
<li>Experience with SAP, PeopleSoft or other application security
