Position: Sales Engineer
Location: Reston, Virginia, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-10-21
Primary responsibility of the Sales Engineer is to provide pre-sales security
engineering services for Third Brigade Customers. The Sales Engineer will work
in the Third Brigade Client Services team and provide support to account
executives and channel partners in pursuing customer opportunities. Strong
verbal communication and relationship building skills are critical to excelling
in this results-driven role. The Sales Engineer must be proficient in
articulating complex technical capabilities in simple terms.
Specific responsibilities include:
* presentation and demonstration of Third Brigade products to the customer
* installation/configuration of Third Brigade products at customer sites for
pre-sales demonstration and trial
* Configuring and demonstrating attacks and security vulnerability assessment
using third-party tools
* lead high-level security project discussions with customers
* Act as a 1st level-escalation engineer for security trouble tickets from the
cutomers
* 70% travel
JOB REQUIREMENTS

* 5+ yrs experience as a pre-sales engineer for enterprise security products
* Extensive networking, network design and network security experience
* extensive understanding of routine protocols and networking fundamentals
* Experience in installation/configurations of operating systems, web servers
and application servers is required
* Expereince in installation/configurations of firewalls, routers, vpn
switches, IDS/IPS products is an asset
* Windows and UNIX (Solaris, Linux) familiarity
* Bachelors degree in computer science (or equivalent)
* CISSP/CISM/CISA certification preferred
* Security audit and assessment experience preferred
