Position: Sr. Security Analyst
Location: Rockville/Gaithersburg, Maryland, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-10-21
We are looking for an experienced security analyst to work on an extensive
federal IT project consulting with security officers, systems administrators
and federal staff to assist in the creation of full C&A packets. Must have
strong knowledge and background in assessing, writing and formalizing all C&A
documents including SSP, RA, BIA/C, POA&M and generation of system diagrams.
Must be able to interpret and apply federal regulations inlcuding NIST Special
publications (NIST SP 800-53, FIPS 199, FISMA, etc.), defining the systems C,
I, adn A as well as data-types stored/processed. The right candidate will have
3-5 years of experience, will have worked for a federal agency and have
specific C&A skills as outlined.
This is an excellent, long term project with lots of potential. It is very
important for the security analyst to have strong writing skills and good
communication skills. You will be evaluating and auditing IT systems - working
independently on multiple tasks so meeting deadlines and professional demeanor
are essential. Security certifications (CISSP, SANS, CISA, etc.) are a definite
plus.
