Position: Software Engineer

Shavlik Technologies, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, offers the simplest

industry-standard technology helps companies with the assessment, remediation
and management of critical security tasks like patch management, spyware
management, compliance management and vulnerability management.
Software Engineer:
The Software Engineer position will be responsible for building an
infrastructure that automates data collection, storage and quality testing of
Shavlik’s XML data that drive our products. This position will also be
responsible for working directly with a wide variety of project teams and
project data sets.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of software development and programming experience.
• Knowledge to build upon in cross-platform technologies and languages
including C#, XML and SQL.
• Prior tool development experience is a strong plus.
• Strong data analysis and database competencies, especially SQL.
• Ability to work within groups and teams, resolving conflicts and
solving problems.
• Effective report and proposal writing, presentation skills and
listening skills.
• Appropriate knowledge and application of the technology available in
management and business operations. Continue to monitor and develop with
technology trends as appropriate to business goals.
