Position: Sr. Security Analyst
Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-10-13
These are full-time positions, with a VERY NICE salary, bonuses, and great
benefits (relocation package is available if necessary). Will sponsor H1B visa
if necessary, but would prefer a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder.
MANY POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Security Lead
The security analyst reviews alert data for security events, investigates
network results and target machines for signs of compromise, reviews raw packet
captures and continuously modifies correlation rules for optimal information
processing. This requires the ability to quickly and accurately determine the
nature of network activity based on processed and raw information. Analysts
will need to document findings on a regular basis in a clear and concise
format. This role is based around preventing network intrusions. Analysts will
be required to analyze network topology for the purposes of determining attack
sources and best responses. This job requires analysts to keep abreast of new
intrusion techniques and prevention technologies on a weekly or daily basis.
Analysts must monitor several network points simultaneously and be able to
track multiple information streams of different types. All responses must be
documented.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

1) 3 years experience in information technology intrusion detection and
prevention with a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology OR 4 years of work
experience in information technology intrusion detection and prevention with a
College Courses in Information Technology OR 5 years total experience in
information technology intrusion detection and prevention
2) Strong knowledge of intrusion methodology. Must have specific knowledge of
intruder methods such as buffer overflow and format string exploits, web
application attacks such as SQL injection and XSS
3) Service security service delivery experience,
4) Experience with regulatory compliance and with HIPAA in particular
5) Network engineering and routing experience
6) Experience with internet based protocols
7) Experience with one or more commercial Intrusion Detection /Intrusion
Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) such as Proventia, Sourcefire Intrushield, or
others
8) This job will require some off hours scheduling including working during the
evenings and nights.
