Position: Security Auditor

Our client, a Fortune 1000 (non financial) company is seeking an IT Compliance
Auditor.
SUMMARY:
Works with the VP IT Compliance and Security to perform any and all types of IT
compliance testing. This will include Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing,
software licensing compliance testing and general testing for compliance with
IT policies and procedures.
Additionally, this person may be called upon to assist with compliance training
for MIS staff and is expected to keep abreast of developments in IT compliance
needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may
be assigned.
•Audit systems to verify installation of approved, licensed software and
set up of corporate approved ghost images (standard baseline set up:
configuration, agent, virus protection, firewall, etc.) by the Help Desk on
company IT equipment.
•Review and update testing procedures for Sarbanes-Oxley testing; perform
the tests.
•Make recommendations for changes in the SOX controls to ensure adequate
objective coverage.
•Evaluate effectiveness of structure of the compliance auditing and make
recommendations for improvement.
•Scan end user systems to track current software installed identify areas
of non-compliance; notify the operational teams so they may remedy.
•Monitor the network to detect user downloads of unapproved software using
common audit/compliance tools.
•Work with management and other personnel to rectify software compliance
issues (i.e. non licensed users, addition of more licenses, etc.) in a timely
manner.
•Provide timely reporting to senior management on any identified
compliance issues.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to

•Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Technology Inventory Management
tools, and IT compliance/audit tools
•Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
•Ability to work independently; self starter
•Able to identify issues and facilitate resolution
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
•AS in Computer Science with 3-5 years prior computer experience required
OR BS in Computer Science with 2 year minimum experience preferred
•One to two years of IT auditing/compliance experience
•CISA (at minimum passed the exam for the certification)
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
•Excellent verbal and written communications skills
•Strong interpersonal skills to interface with MIS management, technology
infrastructure, corporate security and IT security on a regular basis.
